Former YMCA Silver Spring Executive Director Steve Carter accepts "Everyday Hero" award given by Montgomery County Executive, Douglas M. Duncan and Fire Chief, Thomas Carr, Jr. at Leisure World of Maryland in Silver Spring.
Last summer, two YMCA Silver Spring employees saved the life of a member using the automated external defibrillator device (AED). This was the first time a life was saved using an AED in a Montgomery County public facility. |
