YMCA Arlington Summer Day CAMP 2015
Summer camp registration is right around the corner and the YMCA Arlington is happy to share that we have LOTS to offer to keep your camper busy and engaged all summer long! From themed traditional camps and instructional aquatics programs to specialty camps (like art, science & theatre) and sports (such as archery, biking and basketball to travel and an all-new outdoor adventures program; there’s something for everyone!
Our camp team is hard at work building an amazing and creative program for your camper to have fun this summer. It’s gearing up to be the best summer yet, and we want you to be part of it!

Whether you register online or in person, your registration is not complete until we have received the hard copies of your registration forms, including proof of ID, physical and immunization records.
We are also VERY pleased to share our 2015 Summer Day Camp program offerings. A draft of our summer brochure is linked below, since the final version has not yet been completed. Please feel free to start reviewing and choosing your summer camps for this upcoming year.

MOVEMENT, EXPRESSION, FRIENDSHIP
Do you have an aspiring ballerina? The YMCA Arlington has partnered with GO BANANAS Dancing to introduce children to the five ballet positions and explore creative movement. Children strengthen key skills, such as coordination, balance, flexibility, strength, and discipline in an encouraging environment designed to boost self-esteem and fee good about their abilities. Some tumbling and use of props is included.

Stress-Free Shopping with our Holiday Drop & Shop Sunday, Nov. 23rd, 9am-1pm
Sunday, Dec. 7th, 9am-1pm
The holidays are coming, and we want to help you get ready! Join local families for one of our two Holiday Drop & Shop events. Children will participate in holiday arts & crafts, sports, team-building, dramatic play, enrichment, and free choice activities. YMCA Arlington provides an enriching environment for your child to spend these hours while you finish some much-needed holiday shopping.
The fee is $25 per day for first child, and $15 for each additional child. This program is open to all (members and neighbors)!
SCHOOL day out CAMPS
When school is out for parent conferences or federal holidays, the Y has camps to keep your child learning and growing! YMCA Arlington provides a safe, fun and enriching environment for your child to spend these days off from school. The day will be scheduled like a traditional day at camp with arts & crafts, sports, team building, dramatic play, enrichment, character development, science, youth wellness, service-learning and free choice activities. Our staff members reflect, demonstrate and teach the YMCA’s Character Development traits of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. Space is limited for each camp day, so sign up now!

School age child care
YMCA Arlington provides a safe, fun and enriching environment for your child to spend their after-school hours. Children will participate in arts & crafts, sports, team building, dramatic play, enrichment, character development, science, PHD, service-learning and free choice activities. In addition, your child will receive time and assistance with their homework and an afternoon snack. On early release days, children will have an opportunity to participate in field trips or special presentations at the Y. Our staff reflect, demonstrate and teach the YMCA’s Character Development traits of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. We are licensed by the State of Virginia and maintain approximately 1:12 staff to child ratio. Our School-Age Child Care program is for children in grades K-5 (ages 5-11 years old). This small, friendly, family-oriented program is a great alternative to traditional extended day programs.

FRIDAY KIDS CLUB
THEY STAY IN, YOU GO OUT! This program is an exciting alternative for your child while you take the evening off! Kids will have a blast doing things like playing games, creating art projects, watching movies, putting together an imaginative play, inventing new ideas, and just being a kid! All Kids’ Club Events include a pizza dinner.
