SCHOOL day out CAMPS
When school is out for parent conferences or federal holidays, the Y has camps to keep your child learning and growing! YMCA Arlington provides a safe, fun and enriching environment for your child to spend these days off from school. The day will be scheduled like a traditional day at camp with arts & crafts, sports, team building, dramatic play, enrichment, character development, science, youth wellness, service-learning and free choice activities. Our staff members reflect, demonstrate and teach the YMCA’s Character Development traits of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. Space is limited for each camp day, so sign up now!
Our next camp is Spring Break, March 30 - April 6, 2015
You can sign up for all school closure camps at our front desk. If you have any questions, please contact Amber Hootman, School-Age Child Care Director for more information!
School age child care
YMCA Arlington provides a safe, fun and enriching environment for your child to spend their after-school hours. Children will participate in arts & crafts, sports, team building, dramatic play, enrichment, character development, science, PHD, service-learning and free choice activities. In addition, your child will receive time and assistance with their homework and an afternoon snack. On early release days, children will have an opportunity to participate in field trips or special presentations at the Y. Our staff reflect, demonstrate and teach the YMCA’s Character Development traits of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. We are licensed by the State of Virginia and maintain approximately 1:12 staff to child ratio. Our School-Age Child Care program is for children in grades K-5 (ages 5-11 years old). This small, friendly, family-oriented program is a great alternative to traditional extended day programs.
Please contact Amber Hootman, School-Age Child Care Director, for more information!
FRIDAY KIDS CLUB
THEY STAY IN, YOU GO OUT! This program is an exciting alternative for your child while you take the evening off! All Kids’ Club Events include a pizza dinner.
Friday Night Kids Club will be hosted every other Friday from 6:30-9:30pm.
You don’t have to be a member to attend, everyone is welcome! Sign up with the front desk!
