At the end of each summer, the Y conducts an annual “shutdown” to allow our staff to take care of maintenance, deep cleaning, organizing, gearing up for our Fall programs and continuing to provide you and your family a quality experience. We are happy to share that our facility will remain open, but please take note of these scheduled closings.

The YMCA B-CC Hammerheads Swim Team is a competitive team that competes in the Chesapeake and Potomac Swim League, which includes 19 YMCA teams in MD, VA and DE. The training season is from September 15 through May 22. Swim meet competitions are held mainly on Saturdays, twice a month, from November-April, and run 3-6 hours not including travel time. There are also social and fundraising events throughout the season. The swim team is open to YMCA Full Privilege members ages 7-18. There are four different teams: Advanced Competitive, Regular Competitive, Non-Competitive, and Youth Stroke Development. For more information about our swim team, click here! Lebarre at the Y
At YMCA Bethesda, we have the latest and greatest workouts to help you restart or recharge your workout. We're happy to share that the popular program LeBarre is a permanent fixture on our group exercise schedule! Inspired by dance conditioning, ballet barre, and progressive training, this is a challenging full-body workout. This class is offered every Tuesday at 6pm!
New Class Alert: Body Combat
The Y and Les Mills share the same commitment to creating healthier communities by making exercise more than chore! Members rave about our BodyPump and BodyJam classes, so we're making room for growth. Starting September 2nd, BodyCombat will be a new addition to our group exercise programming. This high-energy martial arts-inspired workout will help you relieve stress, and punch and kick your way into fitness! We hope you'll give it a try with us.
