Summer camp registration is open, and we have tons of fun to keep your camper engaged and growing all summer long! From traditional, travel and aquatics programs to specialty, sports and outdoor adventures: there’s something for everyone. Our team is hard at work building amazing and creative programs for your camper. It’s going to be the best summer yet, and we want you to be part of it!

WAYS TO REGISTER:

  • In person at YMCA Ayrlawn or YMCA Bethesda
  • Email your registration to ayrlawnemail@ymcadc.org

Whether you register online or in person, your registration is not complete until we have received the hard copies of your registration forms.

Summer Employment at SUMMER Camp
YMCA Ayrlawn is looking for team oriented, highly energetic staff who want to make a difference in their community this summer. We are currently accepting applications for the following Summer Camp positions:
  • Junior Summer Camp Counselor (ages 16-17)
  • Summer Camp Counselor (ages 18 and up)
  • Site Directors (ages 21 and up)
  • Travel Camp Counselors (ages 21 and up)
  • Leadership Counselors (ages 20 and up)
  • Gymnastics Camp Counselors (ages 16 and up)

Exciting News about Tennis at the Y

The YMCA of Metropolitan Washington is proud to announce a partnership with the Junior Tennis Champions Center (JTCC) that will give youth and adults access to world-class tennis instruction. Tennis is one of the best sports for mental and physical vigor, and the JTCC will help the Y expand its impact with training at YMCA Bethesda. 

Both junior and adult programs are now being offered on YMCA Bethesda's five outdoor courts. For more information, click on the below links or contact Glenn Gerbino, our Director of Tennis.

Celebrate with Us

Have a birthday coming up soon in your family? Let us take care of everything for you! From set up to clean up, the YMCA will host your party for you. Check out what we can do to help your child's special day be even more special for you. For more information, please contact Francesca Sayre. Dates are booking up quickly, come in and schedule your party soon.


Lifeguard Course

Participants will be certified by the American Red Cross or through the Y of the USA Lifeguarding Program. Certifications are valid for two years. This 40-hour course includes infant, child, and adult CPR as well as the Basic First Aid Certification. Participants will be learning material in both in the classroom as well as in the water. Participants must be 16 years old by the last day of the course and be able to pass a swim fitness test. For more information, please contact Annie Riddle-Wilder!
