Students will have fun while learning basic gymnastics techniques. The program uses parachute games, playful exercises and equipment to develop motor skills, coordination, physical strength, and form strong bonds.
Mommy (and Daddy) and Me Gymnastics
19 Months - 35 Months
Learn basic agility, coordination and movement skills in this fun Parent-Child gymnastics class. Parents must be present, and participate, in the program. Come prepared to have FUN!

A beginner level class teaching basic tumbling and movement skills, including rolls, cartwheels, and handstands
Learn the FUNdamentals of the sport including dribbling, passing, running plays and shooting. Students will learn teamwork through collaborative play and sports drills. Each class is age and developmentally specific.
Basketball Age 5-6
Learn the fundamentals in a child size court!
Basketball Age 7-12
This program takes place in our newly refinished basketball court. (Refinishing to take place 10/30-11/4)
PRE-SCHOOL SPORTS CLUB
Try out new sports in this fun filled class. Sports include: basketball, soccer, floor hockey, and touch football.
Pre-School Sports Club Age 3-5
Scale to great heights! Learn knots, belaying, climbing and teamwork. No experience necessary.

The Youth and Family Team is very excited to offer After-School Clubs at YMCA National Capital to the Ross community.
YMCA staff will walk students (rain or shine!) from Ross Elementary School to YMCA National Capital. After the clubs, students will have academic enrichment and homework time in the Kids Place or Youth Progra. Pick up is between 5:45 and 6PM at the YMCA.
Fall II Clubs run November 4-December 20, 2013. Swimming Club begins November 13, 2013.

prepare for swim team with our new Stroke development
Class Meets Saturdays From 11-11:45 AM Beginning November 9, 2013
This class is designed for teens and tweens who have completed all levels of swim lessons, and/or would like the workout of a swim team without the competitive element.
Participants should be able to perform all 4 strokes well. They will learn advanced techniques, including starts and turns.

SCHOOL's OUT camps
When school is closed, spend the day at YMCA National Capital for a day of fun, learning, swimming, rock climbing, sports, games, songs and laughter.
School Day Out Camp runs from 8AM-6PM.
