Get ready for an action-packed day of golf! Join us on the greens of Argyle Country Club on Sept. 19 for our Annual Golf Tournament!
All proceeds from the event benefit our Caring for Community campaign, and will allow us to further our mission of fostering our local community. Last year, we were able to raise $187,000, which allowed local children, families, and adults to partake in the Y's programs.
Learn English at YMCA Silver Spring
To better help new immigrants acclimate to the area, we're offering English as a Second Language courses! Starting in August and carrying on through October, participants will be able to take a one hour intermediate class. No membership is required!
Thursday September 1—October 20, 5:30 PM—7:00 PM
ESL classes for students who can speak some English.
Focus on vocabulary, pronunciation, conversation and American culture
Examine written grammar and other features of the English language

SACC at YMCA Silver Spring
What's SACC? School-aged child care is the Y's before and after-school care program. Parents can rest easy knowing their children are in a safe and fun environment. SACC includes structured daily activities (games, swimming, homework time), snack time and so much more.
Care is also provided on Montgomery County Public Schools professional days, early-release days, winter and spring break, and snow-closure days.
Drop-in care is also available, but dependent on space.

free swim lessons for families who qualify Swim lessons not only keep kids safe in the water, they can also be the first step in building confidence, social skills and healthy living. We are excited to learn your child wants to swim! Through the generosity of Shannon’s Fund, a scholarship opportunity named in memory of Shannon Hawkins (one of our beloved aquatics instructors), we are able to provide free swim lessons for youth and teens between the ages of 6 and 17. In order to qualify for the funds, recipients must have little to no swimming skills and demonstrate a financial need.
