Child Care
Your child is discovering all kinds of new worlds. That's why in YMCA Child Care we carefully design every activity to expand your kid's imagination and encourage lifelong positive values. Their newfound confidence naturally strengthens the relationship they have with you, and that progression is at the heart of our philosophy; good child care is good family care. We offer: field trips, nutritious snacks, age-appropriate curriculum, winter and spring break camps, experienced professional staff, half-day and holiday special events, fun-filled activities, sports and fitness activities, enrichment activities, supervised homework time and swimming classes.
Full- and part-time YMCA Child Care is divided into specific, age-appropriate programs that provide your kids with high-quality and enjoyable experiences. For infants and toddlers, personal attention, rich sensory experiences, and a generous supply of giggles are a big part of their day. Preschoolers learn the importance of making choices, taking turns, developing language skills, and working in groups. School-aged kids join in a variety of experiences including: service-learning, science, reading, and developing and practicing social skills. They gather in a safe environment that fosters healthy relationships, active lifestyles and leadership skills.
Preschool
Our Preschool program offers very diverse lessons from the YMCA's Creative Curriculum focusing on a different theme, color, and shape every month. This department also takes time to highlight a special activity every month such as Grandparents Day, Fall Festival, and Healthy Kids Day. The Preschool department serves children from infants 6 weeks old to 5-year-olds.
School Age
The School Age Program offers a non-traditional approach to learning through recreational activities. Your child will gain skills in character development, arts and humanities, science and technology, conflict resolution, team building, social confidence, and much more using a unique School Age Curriculum. The YMCA School Age Program offers endless possibilities in a safe environment.
Summer Day Camp
Designed for school age kids, Summer Day Camp offers a variety of experiences including Basketball, Football, Splash Splash, Extreme Cheerleading, and many more. Five locations are offered throughout the county serving over 400 children and teens.
