expandDoes your camp have swimming? 
expandDoes your camp provide scholarships or accept DHS (Department of Human Services) vouchers?  
The YMCA of Metropolitan Washington does provide scholarships for all of its camps. To apply for a camp scholarship, please visit or call the front desk staff for an application. YMCA Capital View Day Camp also accepts DHS vouchers. To qualify, you must be a D.C. resident. For more information on DHS voucher eligibility, please call the D.C. Department of Childcare Development at 202-727-0284.

expandWhat do YMCA Capital View Day Camps offer? 
We have a wide variety of fun activities for children from traditional camp, to sports and cheerleading specialty camps.
expandWhat information will I need to provide for my child in addition to the registration form? 
expandWhat is the location and hours of your day camp? 
All children must be at camp by 9:00 am. The Camp hours are from 9:00 am-4:00 pm.  We also provide extended hours from 7:00 am-9:00 am and 4:00 pm- 6:00 pm for an additional fee.  We are located at 2118 Ridgecrest Court, SE in Washington, D.C.
expandWhat methods of payment do you accept? 
expandWhat should my child bring to camp every day? 
Each camper should bring a bathing suit, a towel, sun screen, and bottled water. All campers should wear comfortable clothes and closed toe shoes. YMCA Capital View DOES provide lunch, however parents should provide lunch for children with allergies or special dietary needs.
expandWhere can I get more information about YMCA Day Camps? 
expandWill campers go on field trips and is there an additional fee? 
Yes, campers will go on field trips and you will be notified in advance of all field trips. Field trip costs will range from $5 to $20.
