What is the location and hours of your day camp?
We are located at 1906 Allison Street, N.E. Washington, D.C. Summer Camp hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We also offer free extended care hours, 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Does your camp have swimming?
Yes, and the YMCA has one of the top aquatics programs in the area. Our campers enjoy recreational and instructional swimming under the guidance of our certified YMCA aquatics staff.
Does your camp provide scholarships or accept DHS (Department of Human Services) vouchers?
YMCA Calomiris Day Camp does not yet accept DHS vouchers but we hope to soon. The YMCA of Metropolitan Washington does provide scholarships for all of its camps. To apply for a camp scholarship, please visit or call the front desk staff at 202-526-4233 for an application.
What does YMCA Calomiris Day Camp offer?
We offer one to two week sessions of traditional camp, aquatics, dance and other specialty camps.
What information will I need to provide for my child in addition to the registration form?
Before a child attends camp, you need to provide a copy of his/her birth certificate, immunization forms and health and dental records.
What is your refund policy?
If you cancel at least 2 weeks before the beginning of a camp session you will be fully reimbursed with the exception of your $50 deposit.
What methods of payment do you accept?
By simply completing an EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer), we can draft the camp fees directly from your account. We also accept major credit cards. We do not accept personal checks.
What should my child bring to camp every day?
Each day you child should bring a swimming suit, sunscreen, bottled water and lunch. Campers should wear comfortable clothes and closed toe shoes. Please label all items.

Will campers go on field trips and is there an additional fee?
Yes, campers will go on two field trips per camp session. Parents will be notified in advance of all field trips. Field trip costs will range from $5 to $20.
Will I be charged a fee if I’m late picking my child up from aftercare?
There is a $2.00 fee for every minute a child is late being picked up.
