Membership

There are countless benefits to YMCA membership, including facility access, free classes and programs, and offerings for every member of the family. Membership options include:

ONE Y MEMBERSHIP - ONE YMCA...COUNTLESS CHOICES

Near your house? Next to your work? Close to your school? There is  Y there. And with the One Y membership you can enjoy the amenities and programs at any or all of the YMCA's local branches. The One Y membership enables you to access any YMCA facility with a membership rate below that of your home branch. So tell us where you live, where you work and where you want to workout, and we'll tell you where your YMCAs are. www.ymcadc.org/oney

FULL PRIVILEGE MEMBERSHIP

For members who want full use of a YMCA facility and full access to its programs, full privilege membership is the best option. Members will pay a one-time joining fee and monthly membership dues. Full members have access to free offerings and classes and are eligible for early registration for all programs.

PROGRAM MEMBERSHIP

Program memberships are ideal for individuals who want to participate in a specific class or program but who do not want full use of any YMCA facility. Members will pay program registration fees and standard class fees. Program members can upgrade their membership to become Full or One Y Members at any time.

CORPORATE PARTNER MEMBERSHIP

Annually, companies pay 30-40 percent of America's $1 trillion (and climbing) healthcare costs. A recent Behavioral Risk Factor survey, found that more than 50 percent of those asked haven't had any physical activities in the past month. Lack of attention to personal health and wellness is directly related to reduced employee productivity, declining morale, soaring absenteeism rates and higher stress levels.

The impact on business has been staggering.

Study after study has shown up to 70 percent of all illnesses reported in America today could have been prevented if healthier lifestyle choices had been made. Smoking, inactivity, poor eating habits and other negative behaviors contribute to long-term health issues.

Now the good news.

Research has also shown that wellness programs, which effectively and consistently motivate employees to improve their health, can dramatically reverse these ominous trends. The result is that companies enter a bright new era of productivity, profitability and significantly diminished healthcare costs. The YMCA of Metropolitan Washington Corporate Partnership staff will work with your company to effectively implement this positive transition.
