Bethesda-Chevy Chase Summer Camp Supply Drive
For the entire month of May, YMCA Bethesda-Chevy Chase is asking its community to help local youth have the time of their lives at summer camp. Help the Y provide the basic needs for a fun-filled camp experience: towels, goggles, lunch bags, sun block, water bottles, etc. Any bit helps! YMCA Youth & Family Services
Each year, YMCA Youth & Family Services (YFS) provides assistance to over 4,000 at-risk children and adults. They offer programs ranging from family and individual counseling to mentoring and crisis intervention, as well as giving our neighbors in need the resources to live happy and healthy. All Year - Food Drive
It's easy to take life's simplest necessity for granted - food. Donate fresh or canned foods so that local children, adults and families can focus on their well-being instead of growling tummies.
August 2012 - School Supply Drive
YFS is collecting backpacks and school supplies for the children served by 7 program sites and 4 community centers. Help us provide these kids with the tools they need to succeed!
Sept. 15-Winter 2012 - Coat Drive
Donate your gently used coats, hats, scarves and gloves so that Montgomery County's families can stay warm this winter.
Oct. 15-Nov. 20, 2012 - Thanksgiving Food Drive
We are asking members of the community to offer food for Thanksgiving dinner. These food items will go directly to families in 8 program sites and 4 community centers, sharing with them the memories, spirit and generosity of Thanksgiving.
Nov. 1-Dec. 20, 2012 - Angel Tree Toy Drive
Nov. 25-Dec. 20, 2012 - Christmas Food Basket
Do you remember the holidays growing up? A bountiful meal, presents, visits with your family, and lots of love. Now's your chance to share this with others! Donate new, unwrapped toys or gift cards for elementary and middle school-aged youth. You can also donate canned food or seasonal meals to the Christmas Food Basket drive.
