Donation 

Thank you for your decision to support your community by making a donation to the YMCA of Metropolitan Washington.

There are several ways to make a donation:

  1. Contact the Mission Advancement Department at (202) 797-4482.
  2. Have someone contact you by email.  Send an email to donate@ymcadc.org.
  3. Click here* to download a form to mail.
  4. Donate securely online.

Your contribution will help in so many different ways:

 

$25,000

  •  Sends 22 children to overnight camp for two weeks
  • Provides swimming lessons once a week for three months for 333 children

 

$10,000

  • Provides membership subsidies for 80 families for a full year
  •  Provides a two-week outdoor hiking adventure for 13 children
  •  Allows 40 teens to participate in the Youth and Government program for one school year

 

$5,000

  •  Allows 20 teens to participate in the counselor-in-training program
  • Provides five families with free membership for one year
  •  Sends 13 children to computer/science camp for two weeks

 

 

$2,500

  • Provides membership subsidies for 20 school-aged children for a full year
  • Provides nine weeks of child care for one infant
  • Provides two weeks of after-school care for 13 children
  •  Allows ten children to participate in the PHD (Physical, Healthy, and Driven) Program for two weeks

 

 

$1,000

  • Sends three children to Thingamajig Convention, which encourages invention and creativity
  • Allows five teens to give back to the community through the summer of service program
  • Provides free membership for three young people for an entire year

 

$500

  • Sends two children to a two-week swimming camp
  • Sends one child to basketball camp for one month

 

$250

  • Sends one child to summer day camp for one week
  • Provides pre-school care for one child for one week
  • Gives one teen the opportunity to become a young leader in the Youth and Government program
