National Capital Triathlon Training Club

The YMCA National Capital Triathlon Team ("YTri") offers a 19-week training program for new triathletes training for their first race and for experienced triathletes who want to benefit from excellent coaching and group training activity. The program provides early morning coached swimming, biking and running sessions (from 6 to 8am) at the Y, with weekend outdoor group training activities. The 2014 training program starts in February. A detailed description of the program and registration forms can be found on the Team's website:

Running with Chip!

This informal class gathers members for a traditional run outside (weather permitting) to improve conditioning for general performance or competitive running.

Silver Spring Triathlon Training CLub

The YMCA Silver Spring Triathlon Program ("YTri") is a 17-week training program from February to June each year to prepare new and veteran triathletes for a June race. Members of the YTri team continue their training and racing throughout the year. Fees paid to participate in the program are donated to the Y to help support youth programs. YTri is great for anyone who wants to improve performance, train with a group, or compete in their first competitive triathlon. All participants must be members of YMCA Silver Spring. Training sessions will include a mix of all three kinds of YTri participants.  The YTri program will include up to six organized workouts each week, covering each of the three triathlon disciplines of swimming, biking, and running. Training schedules for each participant will be determined after all participants have registered and completed the swim time trial.

Y Bethesda Running Club

Open to runners of all ages and levels. Club activities include:
