The objective will be to teach each child the basics of Baseball to help them grow as players, all while encompassing the fun that comes standard with YMCA programs. The focus will be on learning the essentials, and developing a love for the game. Emphasis will not be on competition, but rather, on creating a memorable, fun, and rewarding experience for all involved. Players will learn basic skills, teamwork, and self-confidence.

YMCA basketball leagues are fun for all levels, beginner through advanced. Players are coached by parent volunteers. Our leagues stress sportsmanship, fun, equal participation, as well as, skill and character development. All participants receive a uniform and participation award. Blastball

Blastball

Improve your baseball skills at the YMCA. Participants will work on catching, throwing, hitting and running the bases. Everyone is encouraged to play regardless of your skill level. This is a great class to follow T-ball season, helping you improve your skills for the spring! All equipment is provided.

Join our YMCA League and learn basic footwork, ball handling techniques, and fundamental football skills without the risk of heavy contact.

Participants on the YMCA gymnastics team learn more than the gymnastics skills it takes to enter a competition—they learn high-ethical standards, as well as the responsibilities of dedication and commitment. Our martial arts programs build coordination, balance, discipline, and mental concentration. Martial Arts also provide an outstanding alternative for those children who may not do as well in team sports—giving them the chance to excel in a specialized activity while increasing their physical abilities and concentration skills.



Rhythmic Gymnastics
 

Rhythmic Gymnastics

Rhythmic gymnastics is a combination of intricate dance moves, acrobatics, jumps, and turns. Rhythmic gymnasts execute skills choreographed to music while using a ball, clubs, a rope, a ribbon, and a hoop. They learn to perform controlled body movements demonstrating flexibility, strength, balance, and grace.

Designed to encourage participation and having fun, kids are taught basic game skills such as trapping, dribbling, passing, and shooting, as well as, goalie skills.

Your kids will love our instructional sports programs that introduce them to the fundamentals of sports of all sorts!
