Aqua Sports (at BCC)

Swimming is the first step to enjoying the wide world of aquatic sports. This camp will expose children to the myriad of aquatic opportunities from swimming to water polo, diving to kite-boarding, and everything in between. We'll not only focus on teaching the fundamentals of many aquatic sports, but we'll have time for a few silly games too!

Aquatics Day Camp

Join certified lifeguards and instructors in this super fun, refreshing summer experience. Campers will spend part of their day in the pool. Lessons, stroke development, games and free swim all part of this action packed camp. Please speak with branch for specific schedules and activities. No swimming experience necessary!

Junior Aquatics

Join certified lifeguards and instructors in this super fun, outdoor refreshing summer experience. Campers will swim three times a day including one swimming lesson daily focusing on stroke development. Other water activities include pool safety, basic lifeguarding skills, water polo, diving and games. Campers also participate in traditional camp activities such as arts and crafts and a variety of sports. No swimming experience necessary!

Junior Aquatics Instructional

Join certified lifeguards and instructors in this super fun, outdoor refreshing summer experience.  Campers will swim three times a day including one swimming lesson daily focusing on stroke development.  Other water activities include pool safety, basic lifeguarding skills, water polo, diving and games.  Campers also participate in traditional camp activities such as arts and crafts and variety of sports.  No swimming experience necessary.

Junior Lifeguard

Are you someone who enjoys helping others? Our Jr. Lifeguard Camp is a hands-on experience for campers to learn First Aid and CPR, water rescue techniques and other topics related to lifeguarding from trained and certified staff. Not only does this valuable experience build self-confidence and skills for life, it focuses on the skills and training that participants will need to be successful YMCA Lifeguard candidates once they reach an age to be certified.

KIDS TRIATHLON (YMCA Reston)

 Y-Tri Camps are designed to introduce young athletes, ages 6-10 year old, to multi-sport training in a positive and fun environment. All athletes receive instruction in swimming, cycling, and running as well as how to transition between events. Proper technique, safety, pacing, and sportsmanship are emphasized while practicing for a Triathlon at the end of camp.

Little Swimmers Aquatics Camp (Preschool Campers)

The quickest way to have kids learn how to swim, stay healthy and have fun swimming 3 times a day with 2 structured lessons with swimming instructors and one free swim with water games.

Mini Aquatics

Aquatic camps are designed for beginner through intermediate levels. All campers will receive YMCA swim lessons and depending on the swim level, activities may include stroke development, basic lifeguard skills and water sports. In addition, campers will spend part of their day participating in land-based activities including group games, sports & fitness, hands-on science, arts & crafts and more!

Senior Aquatics

Water Polo Camp

This camp is designed to have a direct impact on a campers overall water polo game and let you have fun doing it. While fitness is a key aspect of great water polo players, our camp philosophy focuses on fundamental position, ball skills and scrimmaging. Therefore, the camp will focus on review of all fundamental aspects of the game. From basic defensive position, to drive shooting;  this camp is sure to enhance all levels of swimming and increase swimming endurance while having fun.

Water, Water, Everywhere

Does your child love the ocean? Do they dip and dive like a dolphin? Then they will love this camp! Children will get a chance to test water levels, feed marine animals, go to different aquariums and marine life centers, and even attend local water parks.
