Volunteer at the Y

The YMCA is one of the nation’s leading volunteer organizations. Our volunteers and interns are the backbone of our organization. Their time and talent help us fulfill our mission of providing spiritual, mental and physical growth day in and day out. Our volunteers’ dedication, ‘roll-up-your-sleeves’ attitude, and drive to give back are symbolic of the Y’s commitment to strengthening community. None of our events or initiatives, such as the Turkey Chase and PHD (our childhood obesity prevention program), would be possible without the hope and fellowship they bring to staff, members, and neighbors. Every hour spent as a Y volunteer translates into building healthy, confident, connected and secure children, adults, families and communities.
