BEST OF BOTH WORLDS (HALF TRADITIONAL/HALF TRAVEL)
This hybrid traditional/travel camp will allow campers to have the best of both a traditional camp and travel camp experience. Campers will travel off-site every Tuesday and Thursday and swim on site every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, in addition to participating in the weekly traditional camp activities.

 

ADVENTURE SAMPLER
In this action-packed week, campers will take daily trips to various adventure locations! Activities may include laser tag, indoor trampoline/bounce house locations, skating, bowling, and other exciting adventures!

 

DESTINATION DC
Like learning about almost everything? We’ll check out museums of science, history, art and more. Possible excursions include the Smithsonian Natural History Museum, the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, the International Spy Museum, and more.

 

AQUA ADVENTURES
Does your child love the water? Dive right in and join the YMCA on trips to popular swimming holes in the Washington, D.C. area. This will be the best way to beat the heat during those hot summer days!

 

JUNIOR HORSEBACK RIDING
Enjoy a week of horseback riding and enhance your camper’s basic skills. Beginner and intermediate level riders are welcome. The program includes rudiments of trail riding, theory lessons, ring lessons, safety and general horsemanship. Additional registration form and waiver form is required for all campers participating in Horseback Riding Camp! Please wear the following: Long pants and sturdy boots.

 

SENIOR HORSEBACK RIDING
An introduction to riding basics, horse care, and responsibility taught in a safe and fun environment. Riders will learn basic horse care skills, such as grooming, hoof cleaning, tack care, barn chores, and how to maintain the well-being of horses, while learning to be safe around the barn. The emphasis of this camp is on safety and respect for the horse and his care. Campers will ride each day and beginners will learn basic positions on the horse, to walk, halt, trot – posting and sitting, and control the direction of their horse. Please wear the following: Long pants and sturdy boots Additional registration form and waiver form is required for all campers participating in Horseback Riding Camp!
