We’re excited to welcome you to the courts for another great year of pickleball at the Y!
To help everyone get the most out of our pickleball programs and play at the right level, we’ll be using the following official guidelines to determine player ratings. For most of you this should not affect your rating, however, if we notice players in the incorrect session we will take the time to re-evaluate your skill level.
DUPR Rating: If you have a DUPR rating with at least 70% reliability, the Y will use that as your official rating within CourtReserve. There are various opportunities to earn or update your DUPR rating through various programs at the Y. Click here to see upcoming sessions.
- 2.5 = 2.55 & below
- 3.0 = 2.60-3.14
- 3.5 = DUPR 3.15-3.64
- 4.0 = DUPR 3.65-4.10
- 4.25 = DUPR 4.11-4.30
- 4.5 = DUPR 4.31+
Coach Assessment: If you don’t have a valid DUPR rating (no rating or less than 70% reliability), you can be rated by one of our coaches during a skill assessment or instructional session. All evaluations will follow objective standards based on the USA Pickleball Skill Level Guidelines here.
Competitive Results: If you’d like to request a review of your rating, you may submit recent competitive results (within the past three months) for consideration via email at ATPC@ymcadc.org
