Did you know that 1 in 3 adults in the United States has prediabetes, yet only 7% of individuals know they have it? With 26 million adults suffering from diabetes, taking preventative measures has become increasingly important.
Diabetes is a serious health condition that can lead to heart disease, stroke, kidney failure, high blood pressure, and blindness.
Prediabetes is a condition in which an individual has elevated blood glucose levels, but not high enough to be diagnosed with diabetes. People with prediabetes are at risk for not only developing type 2 diabetes, but also cardiovascular diseases and other conditions. Approximately 79 million people in the United States are estimated to have prediabetes.

“The Diabetes Prevention class was great! It was instrumental in improving my physical activity and eating habits. Most importantly, I met the program goals of losing 7% of my body weight during the 16 week sessions.I was able to do this by monitoring my fat intake each week by utilizing the tools we were given throughout the program." -T. Williams
“This is a wonderful program and should be shared with more people to help them prevent the dread of becoming a diabetic. It was not always easy to make lifestyle changes and I am still working on it, however, this class has given me the tools to continue my journey for a positive health style change. It worked for me and I feel that others can benefits from this program. I plan to attend the maintenance program and look forward to saying NO to becoming a diabetic.” -G. Sutton
