Endless Opportunities to Explore, Learn & Create
Click here to register today for Summer Camp 2015!
Camping, like many Y programs, is about learning skills, developing character and making friends. But few environments are as special as camp, where kids become a community as they learn both how to be more independent and how to contribute to a group as they engage in physical, social and educational activities.
From traditional to specialty, here are the camp programs we are offering at our Y branches across the region. Be sure to sign up early (before space runs out in your camper's favorite program!).

HELPS TEENS DRESS FOR SUCCESS
Jump-start your spring cleaning by donating to the YMCA DC Youth & Government
program’s Professional Clothing Drive
. Through the YMCA DC Youth & Government program, high school students are given the chance to participate as city government “officials.” They are taught how to debate, learn the legislative process and build public speaking skills, all to help solve issues facing our community. Yet, not all students are able to afford the professional business attire they need to best represent themselves and DC in local and national conferences. Your donation will help them professionally dress for success!
Clothing is needed between March 25 through April 7, 2015.
- Women’s attire (skirts, slacks, dresses, and suits), sizes S to XL and 0 to 16
- Men’s attire (slacks, collared shirts, jackets, and suits), sizes S to XL, 34-44 jacket & 30-40 pants
- Men’s and women’s accessories including belts, ties, bowties, and cuff links
- Please properly launder all clothes before donating.
- NOT accepted: shoes, socks, hosiery, or undergarments.

The Y is all about more. The more support, guidance and opportunities we give kids… the more amazing qualities they’ll get out. The more they get out, the more they can achieve growing up. That’s why we provide kids a healthy, caring environment of fun, learning and belonging to help them reach their fullest potential.
That’s also why we celebrate Healthy Kids Day, our biggest day of the year devoted to kids and MORE! Over 1,300 Ys across the country are taking part in Healthy Kids Day, holding free community events that are open to all kids and families and filled with fun, active play and educational opportunities.
