YMCA Anthony Bowen offers members two kinds of child care in Washington, D.C.

Childwatch

The YMCA knows that parents and guardians need to take care of themselves so they can take care of their children.  So after checking in, members can drop off children in our Childwatch room for up to 2 hours while they workout.  Our caring and nurturing staff members will make sure kids stay safe and have fun with toys, games, and activities.  Your trip to the Y will be the best part of everyone’s day!

School Age Childcare

The YMCA also provides afterschool care for students kindergarten and up. With friends, fun activities, and certified professional childcare providers, YMCA School Age Childcare provides a safe, supportive space where kids can play, create, and participate in loads of fun activities with their friends, as well as building bonds with caring adults who help with homework and school projects.  Parents can enjoy peace of mind knowing their children are safe and happy, and there are no last-minute homework scrambles after dinner.  Children go home happy, ready to rest and prepared for the next day.
