Winter means BASKETBALL at the Y! Our Developmental Basketball League is a fun, non-competitive way to learn skills taught by experienced and welcoming adult role models, create new friendships with teammates, and build confidence. At the Y our goal is to build character alongside athleticism, and we honor this commitment by building lessons on the Y’s Core Values of Honesty, Respect, Caring, and Responsibility into all of our practices/clinics.
Registration is Open NOW for our 2019 Winter Basketball Leagues:
4-8 Year Old House Basketball League
8-12 Year Old Travel Basketball League
Basketball League is a Community effort— our program is run by volunteer coaches and parents just like you! For parents, this is a unique and exciting opportunity to meet new friends as well as be a part of your child’s growing love of the sport! Thank you to all our past, present, and future volunteers for sharing their talents with the community and making us all stronger together.
Want to get involved? Contact your branch at 703.742.8800 to register your player for Leagues, volunteer to coach/assist, or donate today to sponsor a child.
When school is out, the Y is open. Join us for camp fun without the sun at this year’s winter break camp. With Aquatics and Traditional Camp there will be plenty for your camper to do here at the Y. Activities ranging from swimming an arts & crafts to gym time and science.
Camp runs: December 26-28, December 31 , and January 2-4 9am-4pm Extended hours are available from 7am-9am and 4-6:30pm at no additional cost! (early closure on 12/31 at 4pm)
As a YMCA member, you can exercise your heart in more ways than one. This month, please consider supporting the YMCA Diabetes Prevention Program. On average, over 60% of the participants that take this program require financial support from YMCA members. Can we count you among the members that are strengthening our community and achieving your healthy living goals at the same time?
